The International Medical Congress for students, residents and young doctors is the first medical congress in Moldova, run and organized by the Association of Medical Students and Residents (MSRA), whose main purpose is the scientific experience and exchange of knowledge of students, residents and young doctors, as well as strengthening intercultural relations.

The Organizing Committee consists of members of MSRA and includes: a President, a Vice President, a General Secretary, as well as Content manager, responsible for Workshops, Social Program, Volunteers, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medicine No. 2, honorary president and other functions, depending on the requests / needs of the organizing committee.

• The Congress will hold the following scientific sessions: Internal Medicine; Surgery; Public health; Fundamental sciences; Ethics, deontology and healthcare; Clinical cases, Particularities in optometry, Pharmacy; Dentistry; and other sessions depending on their authenicity.

All medical students starting their first year of studies, as well as medical residents and PhD students are allowed to participate at MedEspera Congress.

The social program is an optional one and can be selected separately until the first day of the congress (depending on the program and requests).

The official language of the Congress is ENGLISH.

To register for the MedEspera International Congress, you need to complete the following steps:

  1. Registration on the official website as: active participant, passive participant, passive participant with publication or only publication.
  2. The payment of the participation according to the information from the chapter: Payments.
  3. In order to complete the registration process of the active participant, it is mandatory to upload the abstract according to the information from the chapter Abstracts, both for participants with posters and oral presentations.
  • The participant is required to verify the validity of the information entered during registration. The data entered by the participant during the registration will be used for fulfilling the Diplomas / Certificates of participation, personalized badges.

As an active participant:

You will have the opportunity to present the scientific paper to an international audience during the thematic scientific session.

• You will benefit from a welcome kit.

• You will take part in the abstract competition, workshops and keynote lectures.

• You will receive an Electronic Certificate of Participation as an active participant and EMC credits.

• You will fully benefit from the social program, plus additional options, upon request, according to the Payments section.

 The status of the active participant may be changed if:

• The participant's abstract does not meet the criteria of originality.

• The participant's abstract is not selected as an oral presentation or poster. He or she can still attend the conference as a passive participant, paying the price difference until the end of the term.

• He or she did not upload the abstract within the term indicated on the official website, in which case the person's account is inactivated and the participation is canceled and there will be no possibility of participating in the MedEspera International Congress without the possibility of returning money.

As a passive participant:

• You will not be able to present the results of your personal research at the international conference.

• You will benefit from a welcome kit.

• You will take part in workshops and keynote lectures.

• You will be included in social program, plus the additional options, upon request, according to the Payment section.

• You will receive an electronic Certificate of Participation as a passive participant and CME credits

As a passive participant with publication:

• You will have the opportunity to publish the results of personal research, but you will not be able to present the scientific paper to an international audience during the thematic scientific session.

• You will benefit from a welcome kit.

• You will take part in workshops and keynote lectures.

• You will be included in social program, plus the additional options, upon request, according to the Payment section.

• You will receive an electronic Certificate of Participation as a passive participant and CME credits

Only Publication:

• The participant must upload the abstract within the term indicated by the organizing committee, respecting the conditions in the Abstracts section, and this will be found in the abstract book, published on the congress website.

• Will not benefit from the MedEspera 2022 social program

• The participant will not receive a diploma and EMC credits.

  1. All medical students starting their first year of studies, as well as medical residents, PhD students and young doctors are allowed to participate at MedEspera Congress.
  2. Registrations and abstracts uploaded after the deadline will not be accepted and will not be included in the abstract book.

  • The Scientific Committee encourages the presentation of original scientific materials, clinical cases / updated results of previous research, literature review, which were not presented at previous editions of MedEspera or other congresses.
  • The summary of scientific works must be written in English, within the limit of 3000 characters in volume (including blank spaces) and must not contain grids, graphs or images.
  • Abstracts are accepted only after verification through the ANTIplagiarism program.

The abstract of original study or literature review has to consist of the following chapters: Author, scientific adviser, title, introduction, aim of study, material and methods, results, conclusions.

The Case Report Session abstract should include Author, scientific adviser, title, introduction, case presentation, discussion, conclusions.

Introduction: shall contain all the necessary background of the research.

Aim of study: will clearly reveal the main purpose of the research.

Material and methods: will describe the principle of this study’s execution, including the materials, methods and statistical criteria used in this particular research.

Results: will shortly present the findings discovered during the research process.

Conclusions: shall describe the outcome of the study correlated with its purpose and background data presented in the introduction.

Case Report: explains why this case should be studied. Few details about the disease and why this case is so interesting and unique. Provides information on physical examination, paraclinical investigation, differential and final diagnosis.

• An abstract can have one author and two co-authors.

• The authors and co-authors of submitted abstract could be students, residents, PhD students of the medical university or young doctors.

• The scientific advisers can be: assistant professors, associate professors and professors, who have the title of doctor in sciences.

• The summaries must contain the full and correct names of the authors, co-authors and scientific coordinators, the participant bearing full responsibility for the correctness of the data entered.

The organizing committee is not responsible for the incorrect data entered by the participants.

All accepted abstracts will be published in the abstract book available to all participants on the congress website.

The Scientific Committee maintains the right to reject any abstract that does not meet below requirements or is in violation of them, to change the form of presented abstracts and to transfer them to another session.

The maximum number of scientific papers for one registered participant is 2.

The poster must be in .pdf and 4K format

• A poster template will be sent to your email, after we get the confirmation from the abstract verification commission. Edit it in PowerPoint and export it to .pdf, ALBUM orientation.

The headline must be large enough to be seen from a distance of about 3 meters.

Participants must use a Times New Roman font, as well as an appropriate size for the text (28-32 for normal text and larger for captions). There should be an adequate contrast between the font and the background.

Each illustrative object (image, figure, graphic, diagram, table) must have a title or a brief explanation and a legend.

It is recommended that all irrelevant details be removed, in order not to overload the poster with information.

All posters must be made according to the template provided by the MedEspera 2022 organizing committee.

All posters will be collected 7 days before the presentation session, by the responsible person.

POSTER PRESENTATION

Positive revised posters have the right to be presented during the Congress and will participate in the contest

All posters are presented orally.

A poster presentation will take up to 5 minutes, and the discussion will take another 2 minutes.

Presentations that exceed the range of the time mentioned above can be interrupted by the session coordinators.

• All authors must submit the paper in English. Is mandatory for the author to participate in the discussion after the presentation. Co-authors are not allowed to present and participate in the discussion.

• The results will be announced at the closing ceremony, on May 14, 2022, as well as the awarding of prizes for the leading places.

 A special session will only be held if 8 or more scientific papers are accepted in the examination process.
If the number of papers for a particular session does not meet this requirement, the organizers will transfer them to a session that is most closely related to the topic.
If the number of presentations exceeds 20, the section is divided into two.
The scientific committee is made up of recognized specialists: professors, university professors, medical practitioners and researchers.

Positive revised articles have the right to be presented during the Congress and will participate in the contest.
The coordinators of a special meeting have the right to exclude a scientific paper from the competition if the person who files a summary or submits a paper does not comply with the rules of the congress.

The scientific papers are presented orally, based on a power point presentation, according to the template provided by the organizing committee.

The presentation must be sent to the session coordinator, before the deadline set by the coordinator. All animations and sound files are attached by the authors at their own risk.

PRESENTATION

The presenter in an oral session has 7 minutes for presentation and 3 minutes for discussion.

The presenter of a clinical case has 5 minutes for presentation and 2 minutes for discussion.

Presentations that exceed the above mentioned time frame can be interrupted by the session coordinators.

The first author is the one who presents the work and is mandatory to participate in the discussion after they complete the presentation. Co-authors are not allowed to participate in the discussion. All authors must present the paper  and answer questions in English.

The results will be announced at the closing ceremony on May 14, 2022, as well as the awarding of prizes for the leading places.

The congress will also hold various workshops, to which active and pasive participants can apply on the MedEsepra website.

All registrations for the workshops will be open after the end of the application and payment deadline and will last for two weeks!

 Each workshop has its own maximum participants’ allowance, and once it has been reached, the option of this workshop will be removed from the list on the MedEspera website.

1. Attendance at the official opening ceremony of the MedEspera 2022 Congress

2. Attendance at least 2 lectures and 1 workshop.

3. Attendance at the official closing ceremony of the MedEspera 2022 Congress.

4. Complete the feed back form at the end of the congress.

• The diplomas will be sent to the email address with which the participant registered for the congress. To obtain the digital diploma, you must complete the mandatory steps mentioned above.

• Participation in scientific activities will be highlighted electronically and will be verified by scanning a QR code by the responsible persons.

The day and time will be announced daily on our website and Facebook page 5 days in advance.

In order to register, the status of your account must be PAYED. This means that you must pay the participation fee and then check the payment status update in your account before opening the registration for courses and workshops. A special card will open in your account when the registration process begins.

All participants who do not register for courses and workshops will be randomly distributed, within the available places.

Only active, passive and passive with publication participants can register for courses and workshops.

The registration process starts on December 20, 2021. Early registration ends on January 30, 2022, late registration - March 8, 2022

No payment will be accepted after the deadline.

• The early registration fee is 35 EUR for passive participants with publication, 30 EUR  for passive participants, 30 EUR  for active participants and 10 EUR  for participants with publication.

• For late registrations, the fees are 45 EUR  for passive participants with publication, 40 EUR  for passive participants, 35 EUR  for active participants and 10 EUR  for participants with publication.

The price for the Social Program is set by the Organizing Committee and will be announced on the congress site.

• Payment of the fee can be made using the MasterCard or Visa card or by bank transfer.

Fees include: Admission to all scientific events during the period of the congress, entry to the opening and closing ceremonies, coffee breaks, fourchette, lunch, welcome kit, program book and abstract book for active participants.

Refunds: We do not refund the money if participant did not atend the conference.

The organizers of the Congress have the right, at their discretion with prior notification, to modify any participation or special fee and / or any payment deadline. These changes do not affect participants who have already paid and received payment confirmation

• The organizing committee has the right to change the status of the participants if it does not comply with the conditions of the form of participation.

  • • The registration of a scientific paper is equivalent to the approval of these regulations and the consent for the processing of all the data provided during the registration of the scientific paper for the purpose of the status of the scientific student society and of the tasks of the Congress Organizing Committee, for the preparation of the book of abstracts, and the publication of the abstract book, the Web site of the Student Scientific Society and on the Congress page.

    • The MedEspera 2022 organizing committee reserves all rights to use the media materials made during the event, to promote the Congress and to post them on the official website, but also on the congress Facebook page.

    • The interpretation of these regulations and the resolution of any problems that are not included in the regulations will be resolved by the Organizing Committee.
